The “All of Us” club is a fun club for differently-abled students to interact and celebrate their similarities and differences.

The Art Guild creates, curates, and competes in the art world. We host paint nights, activities, art shows, and an annual field trip to an art museum (or two).

All students who love performing, designing, creating, or just watching live theatre are invited to join. You do NOT need to be in a theatre class! We assist with the fall musical and spring play, have monthly activities, improvisation days, attend the yearly state conference, and have a formal induction ceremony into the International Thespian Society for those who earn it.

FCCLA is a student-centered organization focusing on leadership, personal growth, strengthening the family and serving the community. The local organization focuses on how to give back to our community through several community service projects chosen yearly by the members. TBHS FCCLA is actively represented on state and regional executive councils. Students can participate in competitive events (STAR Events-Students Taking Action with Recognition), and we have had several represent TBHS at nationals. Competitive events cover various topics, including career preparation and community service projects. FCCLA provides a unique leadership experience for all students.

While FCA includes the word athlete, we don’t focus on that too much; we are more interested in the fellowship and the Christian part. This is who we are: a group interested in learning about Jesus through the Bible. We hang out at least once a week in a row. We have donuts, and students lead us in the study through devotions.

NHS is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Quiz bowl is a MHSAA activity in which two teams from different schools compete head-to-head to answer questions from all areas of knowledge, including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, popular culture, sports, and more.

The Troy Buchanan Show Choir program performs throughout the year for the Troy Community, as well as competing on the State and National levels. Show choir students perform with a full pit band and work with nationally recognized choreographers and clinicians regularly, performing varied styles and genres with full costuming and set design.

The Speech and Debate team helps students find their voice about issues that are important to them. Members travel to schools throughout the St. Louis to compete in various public speaking, debate, and performance events. This club gives students the confidence to speak about current events, issues, and essential topics.

The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national, non-profit organization of middle and high school students who are engaged in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Since TSA was chartered in 1978, almost 4,000,000 student members have participated in competitions, extracurricular activities, leadership opportunities, community service, and more.

Students in the Troy band program are active throughout the school year, performing and competing in district and state music festivals, as well as in solo and chamber music activities. Band members also have the opportunity to be in the Pep Band. The Pep Band provides pep and entertainment for home basketball games.

The VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, is the largest and fastest-growing middle school and high school robotics program globally, with more than 20,000 teams from 50 countries playing in over 1,700 competitions worldwide. Each year, an exciting engineering challenge is presented as a game. With guidance from their teachers and mentors, students build innovative robots and compete year-round. In addition to learning valuable engineering skills, students gain life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, communication, collaboration, project management, and critical thinking. The VEX Robotics Competition prepares students to become future innovators, with 95% of participants reporting an increased interest in STEM subject areas and pursuing STEM-related careers.
